Why Would Waterpills Give More Pain Relief Than Vicodin?
I have had severe back pain for years now and have tried everything and nothing seems to work very well. i had some fluid retention in my good leg and they gave me some waterpills to help flush it out. i noticed the back pain dropped the first day and now it is almost all gone as long as i take the pills. the pain comes back after about 3 days of not taking them. it can 't be placebo since there was absolutely no way anyone would associate it with pain. the doctor i go to is stumped and said to just not look a gift horse in the mouth but i am a curious person. i like to know why things do what they do.i can 't find anything about why this works and am hoping someone in the vast network of ya can tell me. I got a dental positioner (if that is the correct word for it) on wednesday, which looks like a huge, bulky mouthpiece. i 'm supposed to wear it four hours a day, and all night when i sleep. these hours aren 't very convenient, since my school hours are 12pm - 6:30pm, and the positioner fell out while i was sleeping and makes my teeth sore. particularly, my 'canine teeth. Quick Ankle Pain Relief?
I hurt my ankle about a week and 2 days a go. i landed short on a tumbling pass, basically when your standing straight up your foot and body make a 90 degree angle but i landed as like a 45 degree angle with my body leaning forward but feet on groundit hurt really bad, coudnt walk on it the first day, but the next day i could. i didnt tumble for about 3 days and just did light tumbling the rest of the week. i competed on it sat and sunday.ive been icing it, elevating it, heating it...i wear a wrap, and brace, i use icy hot, i take two advils and it till hurts when im pounding on it during cheerleading.what else can i do? The Dentist Tried To Pull Out My Tooth And Failed, What Is My Best Option For Pain Relief In The Meantime?
Hi therei 'm looking for some advice, the question is at the end. i maybe included a bit too much unnecessary info.it 's one of the big teeth at the bottom side of my mouth (but not wisdom). the tooth had a filling that had fallen away, and taken a bit of my tooth (i think because of a dead nerve) so they had decided to try take it out. they tried for a good half hour, then it got to the stage where i couldn 't keep my mouth open for them to keep trying because i was crying from the pain.the second dentist that tried to get it out seemed to think i was being ridiculous. i was angry as i was really trying to put up with the pain, obviously i don 't want to come back another day... or cry in public.i 've had several teeth out before (mostly milk but 2 adult 1 's too) and it never hurt like this. so now i have to go to the hospital, i am waiting for a letter.in the meantime i have part of my tooth now above the line of the rest of my teeth so my top teeth catch it first when i bite. this is frustrating and sore. also the gums around are purple and cut from them trying to loosen my tooth. as i said it 's not a whole tooth, where the rest of tooth was (until a few weeks ago) is fleshy and now inflamed/ bloody from the attempted extraction.ibuprofen has some effect but not long enough for a nights sleep. do you have any ideas what i can do?? what is best, mouthwash, corsodyl or salt water?many thanks :)thanks for the valuable comment r, that 's really why i came here, not for advice or anything but just to be made to feel worse about what i am already painfully aware of. ...twat.thanks 1st answerer (sincerely). i have used clove oil before when there is no open cuts, and it does help. it numbs quite well, but if you use too much it will go down your throat and you will feel sick! i 'm gonna start with the salt water thing. thankyou :) (Read answers)
